In the early 1990s the titles from the Rumic World series were licensed by Viz (Mermaid Scar OAV & One-Pound Gospel) and Central Park Media (Mermaid Forest OAV, Maris the Supergal, Laughing Target, and Firetripper). Now in the age of DVD, these older series have been overlooked and forgotten by many. Central Park Media has let their licenses expire, and Viz has no plans to put their two titles on DVD. We intend to change that.

This site hopes to encourage Viz, the owner of most Rumiko Takahashi properties and/or Animeigo, a notoriously fan-friendly company who specialize in older anime to make these titles available. We are also including Media Blasters due to the fact that they have recently tackled older series such as Voltron.

Each form includes a pre-written letter to each company. It is always better if you write your own, but if you would rather not, please feel free to use the letter already provided. Please be sure to submit to both companies. The more mail they both receive the better the chance someone will license these titles.

Also, if you are going to an anime convention fan panel, please be sure to ask Viz if they have plans to release these series. Asking in person is a big help.
