Tsubasa Jumonji

Tsubasa is a human that can see spirits, just like Sakura Mamiya. In fact the two met briefly as children when they attened the same elementary school. Tsubasa was so impressed that Sakura could see spirits that he never forgot her, even after moving away. Tsubasa's childhood was spent on the move due to his father's exorcism business.

Unlike Rinne, Tsubasa has very little tolerance for helping ghosts pass on to the afterlife peacefully. Instead he prefers to forcibly send them away whether they have any lingering business in the land of the living or not. These differing philosophies immediately bring Rinne and Tsubasa into conflict with one another.

Another problem between the two is that Tsubasa has had feelings for Sakura since he met her in elementary school. Now that they have been reunited, he frequently (and forwardly) asks her out and does his best to win her affections.

The Meaning Behind the Name - 十文字翼

"Tsubasa" means "wing" while Jumonji means "cross or crucifix", which explains the crosses on his shirt which connects with his Christian faith.
