Ataru screams.
Episode Summary by Yuji Nunokawa [1]
Men watching this show, what do you think of this guy called Ataru Moroboshi? Even though he's loved by the cute Lum, he says things like "I basically want to be a free man" and is quick to make a move on any woman he sees. This guy is abnormally attentive to women, do you know any men like him around you? There are two opinions about Ataru. "He's unforgivable! I feel sorry for Lum!" and "As a man, I envy him. His vitality is worthy of respect." The latter opinion is overwhelming among us staff, and some even say that we should create a guard for Ataru instead of Lum. In short, we're not very popular. Pathetic... This unique Ataru, voice actor Toshio Furukawa also said that it was a difficult role at first, but recently he has completely immersed himself in the role and is in great form. Ataru's behavior seems likely to escalate from now on. You won't be able to take your eyes off it.
