Izumi Kobayashi composed the theme and ending songs for the TV version of Urusei Yatsura. ^[1] For this movie version, she will be in charge of all the music, including the theme and insert songs. Izumi has been a big fan of the manga even before she was involved in the music for the TV version. When asked about her feelings about working on the movie version, she said, "Unlike the TV version, the movie version has a large screen and is long, so I want to push the vastness of the universe to the forefront. There will be one or two insert songs with lyrics. I'm happy that the response to the TV version's music has been more than I expected. I intend to make the movie version even more interesting." She is full of enthusiasm!

Good news for fans in Kansai!

Following the event in Tokyo the other day, it has been decided that the "Urusei Yatsura Fan Convention" will be held in Osaka on November 23rd. So, the contents of this wonderful event are...

Date and time: Tuesday, November 23rd, doors open at 9am, show begins at 9:30am.
Place: Umeda OS Theater, Osaka
Contents: An advance screening of the TV version, comedy skits by cast members including Hirano Aya and Kamiya Akira, and a raffle.
Also taking place at the same time: an exhibition of Rumiko Takahashi's original drawings, an exhibition of cels and illustrations, and a sale of cels and character merchandise.
Ticket price: 500 yen for fan club members, 800 yen for general public.

Ataru finds it amusing that Ten has a cavity and his cheek is swollen like an apple. Ten bites him. Ten's cavity is contagious when he bites other people!!

The Mendo Siblings!

On his way to school, Ataru sees a beautiful handkerchief fall from the ox cart pulled by Kuroko. Ataru thinks that there must be a beautiful girl inside the cart. He picks up the handkerchief and approaches the cart. However, what comes out from inside is a skeleton-like monster. In fact, this was the work of Mendo's mischievous sister, Ryoko!?

A Cat with a Grudge on the Stairs

A giant cat monster that Ten encounters on the street. Feeling sorry for the cat shivering in the cold winter air, Ten brings it to the Moroboshi house. However, this cat has an abnormal love for kotatsu!!
