I Want to Know.
Q. I love the theme song. Who is Yuko Matsutani, who sings it? Please tell me anything about her profile, etc. Satomi Fukushima (14 years old), Ota Ward, Tokyo
A. Matsutani originally was an actress, and after graduating from high school (Toyo Eiwa High School), she joined the Tokyo Vaudeville Show and performed there eight times. She later made great strides as a singer, but it was actually after singing a song in a stage play that she first became interested in singing. Recently, Matsutani has become fascinated with Brazilian pop music, and is even attending school to learn Portuguese. On June 2nd, she will finally release a record called "I'm Here 30s," for which she wrote both the lyrics and the music. (Editorial Staff) [2]

Footnotes
  • [1] After months of using a certain episode number count that divided a single episode into two separate ones, the production staff seems to have stopped numbering the episodes altogether, which will lead to the more unified episode listings that counted two fifteen minute episodes as a single episode.
  • [2] Izumi Kobayashi performed the theme songs "Lum no Love Song," "Ai wa Boomerang" and "Uchuu wa Taihen da!" for the Urusei Yatsura.
