Moe & Mei Higurashi

Moe is the wife of Sota Higurashi. She is Kagome's sister-in-law, though it is unlikely that the two have ever met one another. She has an easy-going personality and serves much like her mother-in-law and has become the adoptive mother of Towa after she was unable to return to the past after getting lost in the present era. Mei is also a professional violinist and helps train Setsuna in the instrument during her brief time in the modern era.

Mei is Sota and Mei's natural born child and is raised alongside her older adopted sister Towa. Towa looks out for her little sister and becomes worried when school bullies try to use the innocent little girl as bait to lure Towa into a fight. Mei looks up to her older sister and while she understands that she is looking for her family in the past, she does want her to stay with her in the present, as Mei has grown up with her older sister for her entire life. She is Moroha's cousin and Kagome's niece.
